Description
One Previous Owner. Purchased in 2015 in Colorado, USA for $7,000.00 USD
Tired of rough roads wearing you out? So are we, and that's why you shouldn't miss out on at least test riding this incredible Ruby Expert, which has been Imported from Colorado, USA. The frame is among the lightest that Specialized has ever made and it's been constructed from the superlative FACT 10r carbon fibre. It's stiffness levels are also off the charts, and compared to the SL4 iteration of yesteryear you'll experience a whole new faster and more efficient geometry. However, through some engineering sorcery, they have managed to keep the same fit, feel and position geometry that we've all come to love from the Women's SL4 Endurance Bikes. Of course you're probably thinking "get on to the suspension thing up front.". It's called the Future Shock and essentially it's a piston in the head tube with 20mm of travel. This technology has been developed in partnership with McLaren Applied Technologies and the result of this is a host of drastic performance improvements, namely in the vertical compliance department. Without giving a physics lecture, they found that focusing on vertical compliance instead of fork splay meant that we could improve smoothness speed and comfort in one fell swoop. A little like Cannondale's Head Shock Steered tube Suspension system. And of all the bikes tested with the Rolling Efficiency Model the new Ruby outperforms anything on the market. Next up is the wonderous Gearset. The Ruby is equipped with Shimano's digitally controlled, effortless and self tuning button shifting system, Shimano Di2. Not only that, it's their top tier Shimano Ultegra 11 speed Groupset, with you to 36 Teeth to swim up those gradients with. Lastly, the bike has been spec'd with awesome components like Shimano RS-505 shifting Hydraulic Disc Brakes with an Ultegra Di2 mix and a women's-specific saddle. The FACT 10R frameset is exceptional in every way, offering the ideal blend of light overall weight and targeted stiffness. Meanwhile, the all-new Future Shock "suspension" system at the cockpit delivers a revolutionary degree of comfort and control. A Ruby Disc fork is built from the extraordinary FACT carbon fiber for supreme stiffness, strength, and reactivity, while a thru-axle design only stands to bolster all of the above. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes serve up tremendous stopping power and incredible modulation. And the shifting from the Ultegra groupset is second to none. The Ruby rolls on some Fulcrum wheels with some wide 700 x 28c tyres for extra comfort! This bike is in great condition with a few marks from use. It has been very well kept by the previous owner and is in excellent working condition. As it has been used, it may require new Bar Tape die to wear and tear, which we will be happy to replace for you.
