Shimanos new XT brake offers innovative mountain-proof power and outstanding single-finger control for MTBs. The double barreled master cylinder design looks odd, but the short, deeply crooked two finger lever is ergonomically superb and reach adjustment is easy via the tool-free knob too. Included is a set of RT81 160mm Centerlock Rotors, which does away with 6 Bolt fittings (please ensure your wheel hubs are compatible). The €˜Servo Wave cam action means plenty of free running pad clearance but serious power and fantastic feedback on contact. The M785 trail brake comes with finned heat reducing Ice Technologies pads as standard which gives it excellent heat tolerance.

The new I-Spec €˜B shifters/ adapters are backwards compatible to the old I-spec €˜A levers (with a special bolt included with them), but the old I-spec shifters/adapters are not forward compatible to the new levers, so the following combinations are possible. 2nd Generation I-Spec B design is developed to attached directly to I-Spec B Brake Levers. Please note that I-Spec B Shifters/Adaptors are backwards compatible to I-Spec A brake levers. However I-Spec A Shifters/Adaptors are not forward compatible with I-Spec B levers.
