Their impact tests evaluate a helmet's ability to reduce the linear acceleration and rotational velocity of the head resulting from a range of head impacts a cyclist might experience. Helmets with more stars provide a reduction in concussion risk for these impacts compared to helmets with fewer stars.
I recently took my dated and tired old racing bike along to Leeli Cycles for some much needed work. I was cheerfully greeted by Ben the very friendly owner and number one mechanic.
