Terms and Conditions of Service

Prices

Prices for services only cover the costs of labour, parts, brake and suspension fluids, unless stated otherwise within the service description. Prices online are purely a guide and may vary over time, depending on the time spent on or complexity of a repair. Leeli Cycles reserves the right to change these prices at any time during a service, unless the customer has already signed for a pre-agreed estimate price. This excludes the costs of replacement parts, which may need to be changed or added according to availability and compatibility.

All combined brake and gear services are based on cable brakes; hydraulic brake bleeds will incur an extra service fee. All prices are subject to change due to variations in costs and availability from our suppliers and contractors, as well as the cost of equipment, bike storage, and tools.

Services, Parts and Warranties

Post Servicing:

All Bicycles and components must be tested on site by the customer before payment of a service. Where we do our best to test ride bikes on the road, we cannot replicate you riding on your bike, and it is best you try it first to ensure you are satisfied with the work done. There are also situations where only a long ride can determine if an issue has been fully resolved. So we also recommend at least a 15 minute ride of your own once the bike has been returned to you. Brakes can make noise and cause vibrations when they have been serviced, as pads, rims and rotors do need toime to "bed in". Sometimes the quality of the main braking components can cause issues like this which cannot be resolve without a complete upgrade.

Repair times:

We can never guarantee a repair time, as there are many factors like how busy we are and what parts are available. Any cycle services that require a repair, replacement part, specific tools or oil replacement may incur extra labour time and a wait for deliveries, depending on stock levels. Some waits may take time due to a "bakcorder" situation, where we will not have an item and will be waiting for a supplierto receive shipments, before ebing able to send them to us. Unfortunatlely shipping dates are only estimates.

No outdoor or home repairs:

All services are strictly in-house and not performed outside of our workshop unless it is for a Pre-Booked Event like a Dr. Bike, a Fleet Service, Staff Bike Day or Sustrans/Bikeability public event related Service.

We prefer not to service bikes and components equiped with or asked to be fitted with incompatible groupset components, items and parts purchased form other retailers, unless we have advised you to do so. There are some brands and vintage or discontinued parts we may not havae or be able to sell, and we may advise opr allow this in circumstances like this.

Any components brought in for replacement that were purchased elsewhere, including new old stock or used components, may incur an extra charge. Leeli Cycles cannot be held responsible for any mechanical faults related to the replacement of these components, and no warranty is provided by us for such components. We simply cannot guarantee the autehticity, safety and quality of any item purchased outside of leeli cycles. We recommend product purchased from us so we can ensure quality of service and parts for the sake of ride quality, riding safety and reduced risk of failure where sometime these can cause unnnecesary damage to other parts.

Any Warranty claims should either be directed to the original seller of a bike, accesory or component, or through their authorised brand dealers. 

Callouts

All callout services (with the exception of puncture repairs and some basic non-repair services) are strictly on a customer drop-off and collect basis. We do not perform any work on-site unless it is for an arranged event service. This is due to the possible need for tools and equipment that are at the workshop, and to maintain a level of work that aligns with our 100% Satisfaction 30-Day Guarantee promise. This promise ensures that work done meets the standards expected for the agreed-upon work.

In exceptional cases, a £10 collect and return service is available.

Abandoned and Uncollected Cycles, Components, and Accessories

Completed bikes and components stored for periods longer than 2 weeks are subject to storage fees and possible abandonment, salvaging, disposal, or sale to recover storage, labour, and work/parts costs.

Accessories and Electrical Components

We are not responsible for the maintenance and any change in conditions of accessories, lights, e-bike batteries, motors, controllers, or other e-bike or electrical devices that are installed on your bicycle. We can replace batteries as part of an agreed service, but any change in their condition or maintenance is the responsibility of the owner and not Leeli Cycles or its mechanics. Any stored batteries must enter the shop for servicing with at least a 20-80% charge, and we are not responsible for loss of charge, power, or cell life of any electrical component. All electrical accessories and components left with us are at the owner's own risk.

Legal Protections and Policies

Leeli Cycles operates in compliance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which ensures that all services are provided with reasonable care and skill. However, Leeli Cycles reserves the right to refuse service or discontinue a service at any time, especially in cases of abusive or threatening behaviour. Abusive behaviour towards our staff, whether verbal or physical, will not be tolerated. This includes sexist, racist, homophobic, or discriminatory language or actions.

In accordance with the Unacceptable Customer Behaviour Policy, we have the right to refuse service to any customer who exhibits abusive behaviour. This policy is in place to protect our staff and ensure a safe and respectful working environment.

Leeli Cycles is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their bicycles and components are in a suitable condition for the services requested. Any issues arising from pre-existing conditions or improper use of the bicycle or components are the responsibility of the customer.
